Dr. Sarah Zucker is a clinical psychologist who specializes in treating substance use concerns, working with members of the LGBTQ+ community, working with young adults, and treating trauma as an EMDR certified therapist. She has extensive training in motivational interviewing and has created presentations and written articles on utilizing motivational interviewing to facilitate effective and client-centered discharge planning. Dr. Zucker is passionate about psychology and addiction treatment becoming increasingly inclusive and welcoming for marginalized communities.

Rob is a Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor(LAADC, ICAADC). Since 1988 Rob has worked tirelessly to help those struggling to overcome personal challenges associated with substance use and co-occurring disorders. After many years in leadership roles as well as private practice he is thrilled to come full circle and be part of a multi-disciplinary team in a facility founded in 1984 by some of his earliest mentors. Rob believes in treating the whole person body, mind and spirit.
Rob has been certified by the California Association of Alcohol and Drug Counselors and the National Association of Addictions Counselor since 1994. Rob was trained by the Cenaps Corporation and Terrence Gorski in 1993 as a relapse prevention specialist.
As Program Coordinator at Pemarro, Rob treats clients with kindness, compassion, with an understanding that people can change. Rob provides hope, support, and encouragement to many in the recovery community and insists on balance between work, family, and play. Rob is a San Diego native who lives with his wife Gail and their pets. In addition to being of service Rob loves to surf, paddle, run and garden.

Mary has an AA in nursing and an AA in Criminal Justice. She has worked in several different areas of healthcare from skilled nursing facilities to Independent Living. Mary spent 15 years working in adolescent residential treatment and 2 years with transitional age youth in the community with psychiatric and addiction issues. She has a special interest in detox, as it has touched her life throughout the years with family members

Cynthia began her education in the medical field in 1996. She is a licensed Phlebotomist, Medical Assistant, and Patient Care Technician. Cynthia has worked in Medical research, Skilled Nursing, Triage, Cardiac, Neurology, Oncology, Orthopedic, Family practice, Telemetry, and Intensive Care. After working in different clinical environments, she became interested in field of alcohol and drug treatment and recovery services. Cynthia brings laughter and kindness to the Pemarro facility while enriching the lives of others.
